On the way to the Rideau canal for a walk I saw this - I believe it was a base for a lamp post at one point in time. Whatever it was, 'they' removed it the day after I took this picture.

My lovely boyfriend posing for me along the Rideau Canal here in Ottawa. This canal provides many with a safe, car-free place to run, jog, walk, bike, rollerblade or really anything else. I enjoy walking down the canal on a regular basis taking photographs.

Parliament II
I got fooling around in Photoshop last night and this is one of the things that turned out. All the images are some of my photographs of the parliament buildings and the general area of Parliament Hill.

I thought it would be fitting that the first photograph posted on my new blog be of the city I currently live in - Ottawa. I often find myself walking around this city thinking of how beautiful it is - parliament is one of those locations that can simply take one's breath away.
