PHO5595 - Completed
>> Wednesday, April 22, 2009
Last night was my last PHO5595 (Multimedia Applications) course. There was no assignment to hand in or anything like that. We simply had to show the instructor our progress and then continue working on it throughout the evening. I had not worked on it since the previous week due to unforeseen events, but he was still impressed with my progress when he came over first thing in the evening. I worked on it throughout the night and went from 1 page to 6 pages with flash animation and both internal and external links. I am pretty pleased with the overall look of it and intend of finishing it up this week. Hopefully I will be able to figure out how the whole website name and publishing thing works and get something online for the public to view shortly.
My next course starts in two weeks and is rather intensive as it runs twice a week for two months rather than once a week for four months. It is a photoshop course and I am really looking forward to it. Hopefully it will be more challenging than this course was as I flew through this course will little to no effort.

Good Enough

I just got back from heating up my lunch in the kitchen where the oddest thing happened. A co-worker who is also an avid photographer (and very good at it to boot) asked me if I had gone to the wedding show this past weekend. You see, he had a booth set up there as a wedding photographer. He seemed to think that I could do such things as well as he has seen some of my photos on Facebook. A few days ago, I received a comment on my main blog stating the same thing. I find it odd to think of myself as able to do something like wedding photography since I have always thought (and still do think) that my work isn't quite good enough for that --- perhaps I am wrong and perhaps it is something I should start thinking about.

I have been slacking lately when it comes to my art. This is partially my fault and partially not. It has been so busy with work lately I have been either too exhausted after working so hard during the day or working throughout the night and therefore have had no time to work on my photos. I have also just been feeling the winter blues and I tend not to find this time of the year too pretty a the snow around here is icky and grey and the grass you can see is ugly and dead - not that inspiring to me. Spring is just around the corner though and I am super excited about it - the babies will be born at the agricultural museum soon and buds are starting to sprout from the gardens around the neighbourhood. And of course ... the Tulip Festival starts next month! My photo collection will be growing rapidly in the next few months for sure.
